Run by local businessman, Garath Archer, Oltco will be delivering premium resin bound driveway solutions, including their innovative Recycle Bound and Recycle Base products, across the Sunderland and County Durham area.
Recycle Bound is the world’s first recycled driveway solution which helps to combat the global issue of plastic waste. Made utilising a mixture of natural stone and resin as well as waste plastic that is already in circulation (including straws, plastic drink bottles and plastic food packaging) from a plastic recycling point, each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws. Therefore, if Recycle Bound was laid on a standard 70 square metre drive, the equivalent of 210,000 plastic straws would be recycled in the process.
Since the launch of Recycle Bound in January 2019, Oltco has already utilised the equivalent of over 200 million plastic straws in driveways, pathways and patios across the UK and this number continues to grow every week. Garath is looking forward to continuing to help combat the issue of plastic waste with Recycle Bound installations across the local area.

With a wide range of skills from working in the corporate world where he worked in the commercial shipping market, the construction industry and being a professional rugby player, Garath is well-equipped to have a hands-on approach to help create his customers’ dream outdoor spaces.
