A marketing specialist from Sunderland, Laura Kerry, aged 32, has secured a new position in her hometown, joining one of the city’s top legal practices.

She has been named the Marketing and Business Support Executive at Richard Reed Solicitors, where she brings a wealth of experience from various industries.

And for Laura working in Sunderland means that she’s not only working in the city where she is originally from but is also joining at a time when there is so much positive development taking place.

“I’ve been working for a number of years for a company in Middlesbrough but when the opportunity came up to come back and work in Sunderland I jumped at the opportunity,” she said.

“Richard Reed is such a well respected company and one of the many attractions for me was the fact they are so invested in the local community and giving their support to it.

“It’s also a fantastic time to be working in Sunderland when there is so much growth, investment and business opportunities available. “It’s an exciting time to be in the city and I’m really looking forward to being part of it.”

Laura has worked in marketing for several years, starting off at an outdoor activity centre and then honing her skills at a car dealership, holiday parks and – before joining Richard Reed – at a security company in Middlesbrough.

“Even though I’ve only been here for a short amount of time, I already feel part of the family,” said Laura, whose job includes looking after social media, events and advertising to support the firm’s business development plans.

“The people at Richard Reed and all of the leadership team have been absolutely fantastic and are really open to new ideas.”

Sarah Reid, Managing Director at Richard Reed – which is based at Frederick Street – said it was great to have Laura on board.

“Laura comes with a wealth of experience and heaps of enthusiasm, and we know she is going to be a really valuable asset to Richard Reed,” she said.
