Representatives Of The Virtual Miss England From The North East Announced

A Virtual competition has been held over the last 2 months on the Miss England app and website to find more representatives from the North East to participate in the final of Miss England in June.

The online event was compered by Phil Green, who commented, “Everyone gave a really interesting interview talking about a variety of topics from anxiety and mental issues to renovating buildings,  the standard was really high.”

Shereen said, “I feel very excited about winning a place in the Miss England final, my local community means the world to me and to represent Middlesbrough is an absolute privilege. I look forward to using my platform to raise awareness about the issues facing the area. I am so grateful to those who have supported me so far in my Miss England journey and for this opportunity.”

Amber said, “I’m beyond excited to be partaking in such a prestigious pageant that does so much to give back, meeting the other girls will be such a plus as forming long-lasting friendships with other empowering women is in itself just as inspiring.”

Both ladies were invited to Flawless Photography & Makeover studios in Middlesbrough where they received their winning sash & tiara worn in these beautiful images.

Nathan Bryant Director of The Elite Media Co. said, “Having been involved in the compilation videos for the Miss Lincolnshire and Miss Yorkshire competitions recently, it was a privilege to be asked to once again use our talents to aid with the Miss North East Virtual finals.”

All contestants showed were exemplary, and a huge congratulations to Amber and Shereen on progressing through to the Miss England finals in June. For us, it is a true honour to be able to work with the Miss England team to further enhance the popular beauty pageant, and to have the opportunity to aid them in being able to continue to operate throughout the challenges that COVID-19 has thrown at us.”

National organiser of Miss England, Angie Beasley, said, “Thank you to all the 12 ladies who took part in the North East first Virtual Miss England Contest. It’s been a different way of selecting the winners & I think the contestants have enjoyed the challenge during the lockdown. We had to find new ways of doing things since the pandemic began to keep the contest going and I’m looking forward to meeting the girls in person at the final.”

Shereen & Amber will now join Miss Newcastle Monet Grant also a student who won her title back in 2019 & Miss Durham Olivia Bulmer who qualified during the lockdown in 2020 to collectively represent the North East in a Red Carpet style Miss England final on Thursday 24th June at the Heart of England Conference and Event Centre.
