Hey, you wanna see some videos about Sunderland? Of course you do!

1. Sunderland from the Air

Sunderland as seen from the eyes of a DJI Phantom 2 drone with a GoPro 4 silver. Or a seagull with a camcorder. Or some very organised bees that learned to fly straight while carrying a stolen smartphone. If anyone reading this lost their phone to a gang of bees, give us a call…

2. Sunderland Tourist Board Promotional Video

Sunderland is so great that it doesn’t need a promotional video to entice tourists, but if it did, this is the best promotional video ever made in an afternoon for 50p and a bag of chips.

3. Mackem Dialect Introduction for Non-Mackems

Thanks to the ancient history of trade and cultural exchange between Sunderland and Korea, Koreans are specially qualified to help explain the Mackem dialect to outsiders that happen to be lacking in Mackem.

4. Sunderland: The Jewel in the Cap

There’s always value in putting the present times in perspective by looking at where we came from. This documentary was made over about five years in the late ’80s and early ’90s. If you’re a young person feeling daunted by making your way in the world or dissatisfied with your lot in life, you’d do well to take the time to see what life was like not that long before you were born. If you’ve got grey hairs like me, then let’s crank up some Phil Collins and take a stroll down nostalgia lane!

5. Sunderland – My Hometown

This video is too special to leave out: one man’s personal love letter (it’s a video, not a letter; I’m using a metaphor to seem clever. I hope that worked for you, I certainly feel much more cleverer) to our hometown. Raw, honest, and hauntingly beautiful, this short film ends with a positive message for all ages.
