The Sunderland MRI Department at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust has earned national recognition after being named the Society of Radiographers’ Northern Team of the Year 2025.
The team received the prestigious award at a national ceremony in London, honouring their exceptional dedication to patient care, innovation, and professional excellence.
The Team of the Year Award recognises departments that have demonstrated innovative practices to improve service delivery or radiography education, shown exceptional multi-professional collaboration, and remained committed to delivering outstanding patient care. Sunderland MRI exemplified all of these qualities, earning recognition on a national stage.
