About Glenda Young
Glenda Young credits her local library in the village of Ryhope, where she grew up, for giving her a love of books. She still lives close by in Sunderland and often gets her ideas for her stories on long bike rides along the coast.
A lifelong fan of Coronation Street, she runs two hugely popular fan websites.
Glenda has both won and been shortlisted for multiple short story awards, published in Take A Break and My Weekly, and was commissioned to write the first-ever soap opera, Riverside, for The People’s Friend, which publishes weekly.
As well as Glenda’s hugely well-regarded sagas, she has also written a Scarborough set series of cosy crime novels. The Seaview series was shortlisted alongside Richard Osman and Val McDermid in the Dead Good Readers’ Awards for best new crime series in the category of New Kid on the Block at the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Festival 2022.
