CHOPSTIX, the UK’s favourite noodle bar, is set to open its very first branch in Sunderland.
The new restaurant will launch at The Bridges Shopping Centre at 11am on Monday 22nd December, kicking things off with a big opening day celebration. The first 100 customers through the doors will receive a free medium box, and 1,000 spring rolls will be given away throughout the day.
Open Monday to Sunday between 10:30 – 21:00, the new store has the capacity to seat up to 48 eager diners and will also bring 20 new jobs to the town.
Chopstix has quickly become one of the UK’s most popular quick service restaurants, with its focus on Asian flavour in a quick and accessible way making it a firm favourite throughout the country.
As well as take away classics like Sweet & Sour Chicken and Salt ‘N’ Pepper Chicken, Chopstix has a range of fresh flavours including the spicy Firecracker Chicken with a fiery garlic and chilli seasoning, and brand favourites like Chicken Katsu Curry and the restaurants signature Caramel Drizzle Chicken.
Fans will also be able to order for delivery or takeaway from the new store to satisfy any cravings they have at home.

The new Chopstix store is the chain’s seventeenth new store of 2025, following store openings in Leeds, Huddersfield, Hull, Sheffield & the revamp of the new Chopstix 3.0 style in Bridgend. Now numbering over 120 locations across the UK, Chopstix has stores in almost every major city and town in the country.
